Abstract

The article is discus the contemporary issues of estimate of economic behavior of future managers, which are determined by the psychological characteristics of the personality and determine the quality of economic decisions taken throughout life. Economic behavior is perceived as a system of interdependent processes and actions that reflects a person's attitude to the conditions, content, results of socio-economic activities, which is manifested in behavior aimed at meeting their own needs. It is noted that, contrary to classical economic theories, the economic be-havior of economic agents is not always rational, because it is determined by the psychological characteristics of the individuals, such as personal rationality and the propensity to take risks. The psychodiagnostics methodology «Student con-sumer behavior» (A. Savchenko and S. Khtey) and the methodology «Personal factors of decision making» (LFR-25) (T. Kornilova) were chosen as a methodo-logical tool for measuring the rationality of the economic behavior of future man-agers. Aspects of the economic behavior of future managers are: rationality of the allocation of money, focus on the opinion of others; flexibility in purchasing goods; «buying as getting what you want». The results of the correlation analysis identify significant relationships between individual aspects of economic behavior and factors affecting its rationality. The most interesting of them are direct corre-lations between the factors «subjective rationality» and the rationality of the allo-cation of money, «subjective rationality» and flexibility in purchasing goods, «willingness to take risks» and the factor «buying as getting what you want». According to the results of our investigation, it was found that the majority of fu-ture managers have a high level (76.9%) of subjective rationality as the main characteristic of the process of making sound economic decisions and an average level of risk readiness (60.0%), which determines their economic behavior: 64.8% of persons have an average level of rationality in the allocation of money, 72.3% – a high level of orientation towards the opinion of others; 20.0% – a high level of flexibility in the choice of goods (rational features); 23.07 – a high level of formation of the factor «buying as getting what you want» (66.15%) (an irration-al sign of economic behavior).
