Abstract

In today’s context of digital economic transformation, digitalization is becoming a key driver of entrepreneurial development, especially for micro-enterprises that possess limited resources but high flexibility. However, despite the numerous advantages of implementing digital technologies, the question remains open as to how micro-enterprises can effectively integrate these technologies into their management and business processes, considering their specific needs and capabilities. This article explores the digitalization of micro-entrepreneurship as a key factor in enhancing the efficiency of managerial and business processes in the modern digital environment. It analyzes the essence of digital transformation, its impact on business models, the role of the entrepreneur, and the particularities of implementation in micro-businesses. It is established that digital transformation creates new opportunities for entrepreneurial development by lowering market entry barriers, increasing responsiveness to changes, and fostering flexibility and innovation. Key vectors of digitalization are outlined, including digital marketing, e-commerce, CRM systems, operational automation, data analytics, cybersecurity, financial digital tools, and mobile technologies. It is determined that digitalization not only optimizes costs but also shapes new approaches to customer interaction, service personalization, loyalty building, and the creation of long-term competitive advantages. It is emphasized that micro-enterprises, due to their agility and adaptability, have unique opportunities to utilize digital technologies effectively, even with limited resources. At the same time, a number of barriers have been identified, such as a lack of digital skills, challenges with integration, cybersecurity risks, and limited access to investment. Recommendations are proposed for the development of digital literacy, the creation of a supportive environment for micro-business digitalization, and the stimulation of innovation. It is concluded that digitalization is not only a tool for increasing efficiency but also a strategy for the long-term development of micro-enterprises in the emerging knowledge economy. Future research should focus on assessing the impact of digital solutions across industries and regions, as well as exploring institutional mechanisms for supporting the digital transformation of small businesses.
