FACTORS FORMING THE EXPORT POTENTIAL OF INDUSTRY
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify and group the factors that participate in the formation of the export potential of industry, and to establish the relationships between them. The relevance of the topic of this study is due to the fact that at present one of the main reserves for the growth of the Ukrainian economy is the increase in the volume of exports of products manufactured by domestic industrial enterprises. At the same time, forecasting the economic, social and other consequences of increasing export activity in industry requires a preliminary assessment of its existing export potential. Such an assessment, in turn, should take into account the key factors that influence the formation of export opportunities for industrial enterprises. In order to achieve the goal and solve the research tasks, the following general scientific and special methods are used in the work: theoretical generalization – when studying the mechanisms of influence of factors on the export potential of industry; modeling – when building a hierarchy of these factors; grouping – when dividing the studied factors into groups; abstraction – when substantiating a methodological approach to assessing export potential, etc. The essence of the export potential of industry is determined. The feasibility of using an optimization approach to assessing this potential is substantiated. The factors of the formation of the export potential of industry are grouped according to such features as: the place of action of factors, the nature of their influence, the possibility of management by exporting enterprises, the possibility of quantitative assessment, the duration of action, the place in the hierarchy and the complexity of formalizing the influence. The hierarchical nature of the relationship between the studied factors is shown, in particular, three levels of factors of the formation of the export potential of industry are distinguished. Based on a survey of industrial enterprises of Ukraine, the main factors that hinder the formation and realization of the export potential of these enterprises are highlighted. The use of the obtained results in the practice of industrial enterprises and regulatory bodies will allow to increase the validity of management decisions regarding the formation of the export potential of industry.
