METHODOLOGY OF THE FEATURES RESEARCH OF ECOTOURIST INFRASTRUCTURE OF THE CARPATHIAN BIOSPHERE RESERVE
Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the development of ecological tourism and its infrastructure in the protected areas of the Transcarpathian region, in particular in the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve (CBR). The essence of ecotourism as an important direction of sustainable nature management and environmental protection, as well as the potential of the study area for its further development, is revealed. The prerequisites for the ecotourism infrastructure functioning, its components and role in preserving the biodiversity of the region have been determined. The key structural elements of the ecotourism infrastructure of the CBR have been identified, including: ecological and educational trails, tourist routes, visitor centers, information points, specially equipped recreational areas, historical and cultural sites, as well as tourist accommodation and catering establishments. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the relationship "urbanized society - recreationist (tourist) - natural environment", which makes it possible to assess the impact of tourism on the ecosystems of the reserve. It is proven that the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve is a unique nature conservation object, which is part of the UNESCO world network of biosphere reserves and plays an important role in preserving the biodiversity of the Carpathian region, developing sustainable tourism and ensuring ecological balance. Based on a thorough analysis, the natural attractions of the region were studied, in particular the most popular tourist routes that are in significant demand among visitors. The main problems and limiting factors affecting the effective tourist use of protected areas were identified, in particular anthropogenic load, insufficient tourist infrastructure, the need to improve tourist routes and information support. A number of recommendations are proposed for improving ecotourism infrastructure, regulating tourist flows, optimal territorial management and ensuring the preservation of natural ecosystems. The prospects for the development of ecotourism in the region are outlined, taking into account environmental sustainability and the preservation of the natural heritage of the Carpathians.
