The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) and its pervasive integration across all spheres of life, including economics, necessitate a re-evaluation of educational approaches and professional training. Economics students must not only possess a deep understanding of economic principles but also acquire AI skills to remain competitive in the labor market and effectively utilize these emerging technologies for solving economic challenges. This article aims to explore the future perspectives of AI skills development for economics students, identify key competencies that will be in demand, and offer recommendations for enhancing educational programs.
