BUSINESS SCALE AS A FACTOR OF ECONOMIC GROWTH OF AN ENTERPRISE

Abstract

The article systematizes the main directions of business scaling, including increasing sales without a significant increase in fixed costs, expanding the customer base and entering new markets, diversifying products and services, digital scaling, using franchise and partnership models, and optimizing business processes. It is substantiated that the choice of a specific direction of scaling should be made taking into account the industry specifics, the resource potential of the enterprise and the level of risks. Particular attention is paid to the role of digital technologies in the process of business scaling. It is proven that digital scaling, based on the use of online channels, automation and digital platforms, allows enterprises to quickly respond to changes in demand and ensure growth with minimal additional costs. It is emphasized that digital solutions are a key factor in achieving economies of scale, especially in the field of e-commerce, online education, digital marketing and content creation. The study examines modern scalable business concepts, including e-commerce, online courses, online marketing, digital content creation, renewable energy solutions, event management, and virtual and augmented reality product development. It is argued that these areas have varying levels of capital intensity, but are united by high growth potential and the ability to scale with effective management. The article focuses on the differences between business growth and scaling. It is argued that growth, which is accompanied by a proportional or outstripping increase in costs, does not always ensure increased profitability and can lead to a decrease in business manageability. Instead, scaling involves achieving economies of scale, in which costs per unit of product or service decrease and operational efficiency increases. It is determined that the key characteristic of a scaled business is its ability to adapt to growing demand without deteriorating the quality of customer service and financial results. The article systematizes the main areas of business scaling, including increasing sales without a significant increase in fixed costs, expanding the customer base and entering new markets, diversifying products and services, digital scaling.
