RELOCATION AND RECONFIGURATION OF BUSINESS PROCESSES AS A SURVIVAL STRATEGY

Keywords: relocation, reconfiguration, business, survival strategy, anti-crisis management

Abstract

he contemporary global environment, characterized by geopolitical conflicts, military aggression, and unprecedented economic shocks, renders traditional crisis management models ineffective. The urgency of this research stems from the critical need for enterprises operating under extreme risk to develop scientifically sound, comprehensive mechanisms that ensure not merely survival but functional viability and the capacity for immediate operational recovery. Existing scholarly works often treat business relocation and process transformation as separate phenomena. This fragmentation creates a significant gap in strategic management, as the effectiveness of one depends heavily on the synchronous implementation of the other. The primary aim of this article is to provide a theoretical substantiation and to develop an integrated management model for enterprise survival. The research employs a combination of general scientific and specific methods. The Systemic Analysis method was crucial for designing the integrated model, while the Structural-Logical Analysis determined the optimal sequence of reconfiguration steps. Key findings and results include: - A definitive distinction is drawn between Relocation and Reconfiguration. The Survival Strategy acts as the overarching strategic imperative demanding both. - The study identifies that technological maturity is the primary driver of successful integration. - A methodology for process prioritization is introduced, focusing first on securing MVO processes and only then scaling the physical relocation effort. The research establishes that the effectiveness of the strategy cannot be measured solely by costs but must be evaluated using non-financial criteria. The practical value of the research is the provision of clear, sequential, and evidence-based methodological guidelines for management teams. These guidelines enable the rapid diagnosis of critical processes, informed decision-making regarding asset relocation, and the subsequent necessary organizational and technological reconstruction, ensuring that the enterprise not only survives the immediate shock but also establishes a more flexible and robust structure for post-crisis development.
