MANAGEMENT OF MULTINATIONAL TEAMS IN UKRAINIAN ENTERPRISES

Abstract

This article explores the management of multinational teams in Ukrainian enterprises under the combined influence of globalization, digital transformation, and wartime challenges. The relevance of the topic lies in the growing importance of multicultural cooperation for business competitiveness, organizational adaptability, and Ukraine’s deeper integration into international economic networks. The research emphasizes that cultural diversity, language barriers, remote work, and war-related psychological stress create complex managerial difficulties that demand innovative, flexible, and human-centered approaches. The study employs a comprehensive analytical methodology, combining conceptual analysis of intercultural management, synthesis of global best practices, and assessment of their applicability to the Ukrainian context. Particular attention is given to socio-economic and organizational factors, including post-war migration flows, the digitalization of workplaces, and the shortage of experienced HR specialists in the current labor market. The results demonstrate that the development of intercultural competence among managers and employees is a decisive driver of team effectiveness. The integration of digital HR solutions—analytics systems, collaborative platforms, and online learning environments—significantly enhances coordination and engagement within geographically dispersed teams. Additionally, mental health and well-being programs are shown to be vital for maintaining team resilience and motivation under high-stress conditions. The practical significance of the study lies in offering strategic recommendations for Ukrainian enterprises, particularly small and medium-sized businesses, on adapting diversity and inclusion policies, implementing digital management tools, and developing continuous training for intercultural communication. Applying these strategies can strengthen teamwork, foster innovation, and increase overall productivity. In the long term, effective management of multinational teams will serve as a key driver of Ukraine’s post-war economic recovery, sustainable growth, and successful integration into the global business environment.
