PECULIARITIES OF BUSINESS ETHICS IN THE CONTEXT OF EU INTEGRATION
Abstract
The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the formation of ethical norms within the business environment, particularly in the context of the ongoing European integration processes. It delves into the core concepts and theoretical foundations of business ethics, outlining its critical importance in fostering reliable and transparent partnerships, promoting a healthy corporate culture, and supporting the long-term sustainable development of enterprises. The author examines the ethical landscape in Ukraine, juxtaposing it with established European Union standards to identify commonalities and divergences in ethical expectations and practices. This comparative analysis underscores how the adoption of European ethical norms and values exerts a transformative influence on the domestic business environment, shaping decision-making processes, stakeholder engagement strategies, and overall organizational behavior. These changes not only contribute to improved competitiveness and innovation but also help establish a more responsible and human-centric business model. The article identifies fundamental principles that underpin effective business relationships, including adherence to legal frameworks, ethical guidelines, and moral values. It emphasizes the necessity of incorporating cultural awareness and national identity when cultivating an ethical corporate climate, recognizing that such sensitivities play a vital role in maintaining employee loyalty, customer trust, and brand reputation. The discussion further addresses key components of European business ethics, such as corporate responsibility, operational transparency, personal and institutional integrity, and the integration of sustainable development goals into corporate strategy. Finally, the article explores the prospects for refining ethical business practices as Ukraine advances its European integration efforts, advocating for a proactive adaptation to the dynamic challenges of the globalized market, while ensuring the preservation of local traditions, long-term vision, and alignment with universally accepted ethical benchmarks.
