THE ESSENCE OF THE QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND FACTORS AFFECTING THE QUALITY MANAGEMENT PROCESS IN AGRICULTURE

Abstract

The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the significance of quality management systems, their fundamental principles, structural elements, and modern approaches to quality management in the agricultural sector. It emphasizes the crucial role of quality management systems in ensuring stable production of high-quality agricultural products while highlighting the importance of quality control mechanisms that prevent contamination and enhance food safety. The study explores the impact of quality management systems on food security, detailing various control mechanisms and methodologies that minimize risks associated with product contamination and non-compliance with safety standards. Additionally, the article characterizes the key stages of implementing quality management systems in agriculture, including standardization, monitoring, certification, and compliance with international quality assurance practices. Special attention is given to modern research, innovative approaches, and technological advancements that contribute to maintaining high agricultural product quality. The study also reviews best practices in integrating digital solutions into quality management, such as automated monitoring systems, blockchain for supply chain transparency, and AI-driven predictive analytics for risk assessment. Moreover, the paper examines the role of regulatory frameworks and legislative measures in maintaining agricultural product quality, with a specific focus on Ukraine’s legal framework and its alignment with global standards. The impact of international regulations, trade policies, and certification requirements on the competitiveness of agricultural products in global markets is also discussed. The article underscores the importance of continuous improvement in quality management practices, stakeholder collaboration, and adaptation to evolving consumer expectations and market demands. Lastly, recommendations are provided on optimizing quality management systems to enhance efficiency, reduce production losses, and ensure compliance with national and international standards.
