DEVELOPMENT OF RURAL GREEN TOURISM AS A FACTOR IN REVITALIZING RURAL TERRITORIES OF THE REGION

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the analysis of the current state and prospects of rural green tourism development as an important factor in the revival of rural territories in Kirovohrad Oblast. The authors emphasize that the development of this direction is relevant in the context of economic challenges, depopulation, and changes in tourism priorities, particularly due to martial law. The article notes that rural tourism is an effective means of preserving cultural heritage, developing local economies, and increasing employment among the rural population. The research was conducted using statistical analysis, comparative methods, and expert assessments, which allowed for determining the region's potential for rural tourism development. Special attention is paid to natural, historical, and cultural resources that can become the basis for expanding tourist routes and attracting visitors. The main problems hindering the industry's development were identified: lack of effective state regulation, insufficient funding, weak infrastructure, and low awareness among the population about the possibilities of this type of activity. The authors note that a significant portion of tourist homesteads in the region operate unofficially, which limits their development and opportunities to receive state support. The issue of legal regulation and the need to simplify registration procedures for owners of rural tourist facilities is separately considered. The article emphasizes that rural tourism can play an important role in the post-war reconstruction of the region, promote economic growth, and integrate displaced persons into local communities. Proposed measures to stimulate the development of this sector include developing marketing strategies, supporting green initiatives, creating new tourist routes, and implementing modern approaches to industry management. The conclusion is made that rural green tourism has significant potential for sustainable development of rural areas, creating new jobs, and improving the economic situation of the region. Its active development can not only contribute to the preservation of the natural and cultural environment but also become an important factor in the economic stabilization of rural communities.
