THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF EMPLOYEE COMPETITIVENESS ASSESSMENT

Abstract

The problem of assessing the competitiveness of workers can be investigated on the basis of systems theory. Part of the knowledge (competencies) that an individual possesses at work increases the competitiveness of the organization, and the more competitive organizations there are, the more competitive the industry and the state itself. A person as a person refers to a biological (by nature) natural (by the way of formation) system. The more talented a person is, the more likely they are to apply the knowledge and skills they have at work. In building a dynamic and competitive economy, skills for employment in a knowledge-based society are becoming especially important. One of the EU's priorities is to increase investment in people and training, the need for which is determined by the rapid growth of the small and medium-sized business sector, market globalization, the development of international relations, changes in information technology and penetration into all sectors of the economy. Due to a shortage of skilled labor, more and more companies decide to invest in the qualifications and education of their employees. However, leaders of organizations are faced with the problem of assessing the strengths and weaknesses of employees by choosing criteria on the basis of which they determine and compare the results of work, how to correctly use the valuable qualities of their employees to achieve the strategic goals of the organization. Therefore, the main obstacle is the assessment of employee performance, the quantitative expression of his competence or other elements of competitiveness. The study of theoretical aspects of assessing the competitiveness of employees. The object of this work is the assessment of the competitiveness of employees and the possibilities of assessing the competitiveness of employees are systematized. The purpose of the article is to generalize the factors affecting the competitiveness of employees, Research methods - comparative analysis and synthesis of scientific literature, logical generalization. It was determined that most companies use only qualitative methods of assessment, and the biggest obstacle for the correct assessment of an employee's competitiveness is subjectivity (an appraiser can be influenced by stereotypes, prejudices, and preliminary work results). It was found that the employee is more motivated by internal factors, such as values, expectations, needs to develop, to achieve career heights, to be an expert in his field, and the organization and the state should motivate and create all the opportunities for this.
