MECHANISMS FOR ENHANCING THE PERSONAL EFFECTIVENESS OF A MANAGER IN THE SYSTEM OF MODERN SELF-MANAGEMENT UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF THE INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT
Abstract
The article investigates contemporary mechanisms for improving managers’ personal effectiveness within the self-management system in the international business environment. The essence of self-management and its significance for effective managerial activity under conditions of globalization, digital transformation, growing competition, and market instability are defined. It is substantiated that managerial effectiveness depends not only on professional competencies but also on self-organization, adaptability, emotional intelligence, stress resistance, communication abilities, and continuous professional development. The study analyzes the key components of self-management, including time management, strategic planning, self-control, emotional stability, and professional self-development. Considerable attention is paid to the role of soft skills, particularly leadership, critical thinking, teamwork, intercultural communication, adaptability, and emotional intelligence, which ensure effective interaction in multicultural business environments and improve managerial decision-making processes. The influence of modern trends in the international business environment on managerial activity is examined. It is established that digitalization, artificial intelligence technologies, remote and hybrid work models, globalization of business processes, and the spread of virtual international teams significantly transform management approaches and increase requirements for managers’ personal effectiveness. The importance of digital competencies and the application of digital technologies, project management platforms, CRM systems, automation tools, and AI-based solutions in enhancing productivity and optimizing business processes is emphasized. The research proves that effective self-management is a crucial factor in ensuring managers’ competitiveness and professional success in the international business environment. It is concluded that the integration of digital technologies, continuous learning, soft skills development, and adaptive management approaches contributes to improving personal effectiveness, decision-making quality, and successful professional performance under conditions of uncertainty and global transformations.
