HISTORICAL BACKGROUND AND MODERN SCIENTIFIC APPROACHES TO THE RESEARCH OF CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION UKRAINE-POLAND IN THE TOURISM INDUSTRY

Abstract

The article is devoted to the historical prerequisites and modern scientific approaches to the study of cross-border cooperation between Ukraine and Poland in the field of tourism. The relevance of the topic is determined by the fact that in modern conditions of globalization, cross-border cooperation acquires a qualitatively new meaning. Аnd acts as an important tool for territorial integration, promotes the unification and rational use of tourism resources, supports the development of infrastructure and the formation of a competitive tourism product. The aim of the studyis to substantiate the historical prerequisites for the formation of Ukrainian-Polish cross-border cooperation and analyze scientific approaches to its research in the tourism industry. The methodological basis of the study is formed by the following methods, analysis and synthesis for processing scientific sources, generalizing theoretical approaches to the development of cross-border tourism; historical and geographical method for studying the prerequisites for the formation of cross-border tourist relations, the influence of historical processes and cultural contacts on the development of tourism and recreation; systemic method for considering the cross-border region as an integral socio-economic system, within which authorities, tourism business, local communities and infrastructure elements interact; generalization method for drawing conclusions regarding current trends, problems and prospects for the development of tourism and recreation in the context of cross-border cooperation. It is determined that cross-border regions are traditionally a space for intensive socio-economic, cultural and trade interactions, which form the basis for the development of tourism. Modern trends in cross-border cooperation are analyzed, in particular the creation of integrated tourist routes, the formation of tourist clusters, the introduction of digital technologies and the strengthening of environmentally sustainable practices. The main problems that affect the development of cross-border territories are outlined: uneven socio-economic development, infrastructure restrictions, visa barriers, differences in the regulatory framework and security threats.
