THE ROLE OF PARTNERSHIPS IN ENSURING FOOD SECURITY OF UKRAINE THROUGH THE DAIRY MARKET

Abstract

The article analyzes the essence and components of food security in Ukraine. Particular attention is paid to the role of the dairy industry, determining its potential, risks and opportunities for development in the current economic environment. The author suggests ways to optimize state regulation in order to ensure the stability and efficiency of dairy production. One of the most important tasks facing the agricultural sector and, in particular, the livestock industry today is to provide the population with food in sufficient quantity and of appropriate quality in a fast, high-quality and complete manner. To achieve the desired economic effect, livestock development should be carried out through comprehensive intensification and specialization of production, using efficient methods and techniques of the industry. The types and methods of work that form the biological, technological, organizational and economic sides of production should be linked in a single technological process. The issue of food security is one of the most acute in modern Ukraine. In the context of globalization and integration into the world economy, the agricultural sector faces many challenges, among which the stability of food production and quality assurance are of particular importance. With this in mind, it is important to analyze the impact of certain industries, including dairy, on the country's food security. Milk and dairy products are essential commodities, accounting for a third of the average Ukrainian's daily diet, and some of their types are socially important food products for ensuring the full functioning of human life. Both the economic condition of agricultural producers and the food security of the state depend on the efficient functioning of the industry. The industry's problems are caused by a long period of market transformation, as well as the impact of economic crises (global and domestic dairy), which make adjustments to the development of dairy farms. The biggest problem remains the decline in milk production caused by a steady decline in the number of cows in all categories of farms. Therefore, partnerships play a key role in ensuring food security.
