DIGITALIZATION OF UKRAINIAN BANKS: CURRENT TRENDS AND PERSPECTIVES
Abstract
The article examines modern trends in the digitalization of Ukrainian banks, in particular, the development of online banking and mobile applications. A general overview of digitalization of Ukrainian banks is provided, and the advantages of digitalization of banking services are highlighted. The main attention is paid to the analysis of digital technologies in leading Ukrainian banks. The key advantages of digitalization of mobile applications of popular banks are highlighted, and the main services offered in the online format are defined. A comparative analysis of the capabilities of banking applications is carried out. In addition, current trends in the digitalization of the banking system are characterized, and prospects for further development of this area are highlighted. The risks associated with the protection of personal data, in particular the threat of cybercrime, identity theft and financial fraud, are also considered separately. The study highlights such modern tools as the use of artificial intelligence, chatbots, and blockchain, which help to improve the security of financial transactions and optimize the process of providing banking services. The analysis of artificial intelligence was conducted in the context of improving the process of processing customer requests, as well as to increase user engagement in a particular application by providing a tool for analyzing costs and issuing the best offers for the client. The popularity of banking mobile applications is assessed by the number of downloads and user ratings, as well as by functionality. The research examines the availability of such services in mobile applications as opening credit lines, linking cards from other banks, paying bills, and other functions that are necessary for customer convenience. In addition to services, security issues were investigated, including the use of 3D Secure and the ability to manage geolocation to improve personal data protection. The study also highlighted the disadvantages of online banking that discourage customers and reduce the level of trust in online banking. Any technical problems can cause customer irritation and significantly reduce their desire to use a particular bank. Thus, customers are looking for better technological solutions from competing banks.
