INNOVATIVE FACILITIES OF THE RESORT AND RECREATION SPHERE OF UKRAINE: TRENDS AND PROSPECTS OF UKRAINE
Abstract
The article examines the trends and prospects of innovative resort and recreational facilities in Ukraine. The resort and recreational sector is a crucial component of the service industry, focused on meeting people's needs for leisure, health, and recreation. It encompasses various activities aimed at providing comfortable and health-oriented vacations, including hotel businesses, spa and wellness services, excursion programs, sports, and entertainment activities. This sector is an integral part of the service industry, making a significant contribution to the economy, promoting tourism development, and enhancing the standard of living. The resort and recreational sector is continuously evolving, adapting to modern demands and consumer preferences. It is characterized by the integration of services, customer-oriented focus, seasonality, high competition, innovation, infrastructure dependency, the importance of the human factor, and a diverse target audience. These characteristics are thoroughly analyzed and presented in the article to demonstrate the key aspects of the development of this service sector in Ukraine. Special attention is given to the various types of recreational facilities and complexes operating in the Ukrainian market. They include natural sites such as national parks, lakes, and beaches, as well as artificial facilities like sanatoriums, water parks, and sports complexes. Mixed-type complexes, such as resort complexes and tourist bases that combine different types of recreation, are also discussed. An innovative approach to the development of Ukraine's resort and recreational complexes is a vital factor in their successful operation. Examples of such innovations include the creation of new theme parks and resort complexes, the introduction of innovative treatment and wellness methods, the development of artificial ski complexes and water entertainment zones. Special attention is given to promising projects like SIRKA CAMP and SAGA.VAKOTA, which focus on active recreation and modern entertainment. The importance of developing picnic culture in urban parks and establishing appropriate recreational areas is highlighted, especially relevant in the context of military actions and limited opportunities for outdoor recreation. State support for such initiatives, along with encouragement of private investments in small and medium-sized enterprises engaged in resort and recreational services, is a crucial step for the further development of this sector in Ukraine.
