ADAPTATION OF CREDIT POLICY OF COMMERCIAL BANKS IN THE CONDITIONS OF MARITAL STATE

Keywords: Credit policy of the bank, war, problem loans, credit holidays

Abstract

The article examines the need for banks to change their strategies and approaches to credit policy in the conditions of a military conflict. The main areas of action for banks are the revision of credit strategies with the aim of reducing risk and increasing stability, expanding lending in stable sectors of the economy, monitoring and managing credit risks, active cooperation with the government and regulatory authorities to develop financial support programs, strengthening cyber security measures, and cooperation with international financial institutions to obtain financial support. The concept of "credit policy" is defined and the main three types of credit policy are considered - aggressive, conservative and moderate. The impact of a full-scale invasion on the credit policy of commercial banks and the trend in the share of non-performing loans is analyzed. Current government preferential lending programs are considered, among which we can single out "Affordable loans 5-7-9%", credit holidays, "eOselya" and others. Conclusions were made regarding the need to actively implement risk management mechanisms, in particular, curbing the growth of the portfolio of non-performing loans, diversifying the loan portfolio and constant monitoring of credit risks.
