INVESTMENT IN THE CONDITIONS OF THE WAR ECONOMY: ANALYSIS OF THE CURRENT STATE AND SHORT-TERM FORECAST

Abstract

The article analyzes the problematic aspects of ensuring sustainable economic development and the formation of strategic prerequisites for transformative transformations at the macroeconomic level. The structure of inflows of foreign investments into the economy of Ukraine by the countries of the European Union in the period 2019-2023 was analyzed. The conceptual problems of attracting additional investment capital into the economy of Ukraine, taking into account the full-scale military invasion of its territory, are defined. The research materials contain information on the investment of additional funds into the state economy by international corporations in the period 2020-2023. The fundamental sectors of the national economy for the attraction of additional investment capital, which are of interest to potential foreign investors, have been identified. The dynamics of the investment attractiveness index of the economy of Ukraine in the period 2008-2023 were analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the complex of economic transformations of the economy of Ukraine in the context of investing in the conditions of military operations. In addition, the attraction of additional investment capital is a key aspect of ensuring the possibility of integration of the Ukrainian economy into the European Union, which will contribute to the formation of a high level of competitiveness of the national economic system. The above focuses attention on the need for comprehensive scientific research in the context of investment activities in the conditions of a full-scale military invasion and transformational changes. Favorable prerequisites for attracting foreign investments have been studied, including: active foreign policy of the state leadership, which is manifested in significant political and economic events for Ukraine; active and multilateral support of world leaders and countries in Ukraine's resistance to aggression; the authority of the President of Ukraine on the world stage; reforms of the judicial and tax system of Ukraine; active search for modern platforms and innovative tools for attracting foreign investment.
