THE WORLD MARKET OF APPLES AND THEIR PROCESSING PRODUCTS
Abstract
The article is devoted to a comprehensive study of the world market of apples and their processing products. By carrying out an in-depth analysis, the main aspects of this industry segment from 2011 to 2023 have been considered. The article examines the dynamics of apple production and yield in different regions of the world, taking into account the factors that affect their fluctuations. The export and import of apples is analyzed, in particular the Ukrainian, American and Chinese markets. Particular attention is paid to issues that may affect yield, such as the lack of pollinators in the United States. The role of the countries of the Southern Hemisphere, in particular Chile, South Africa, and others, in the world export of fresh apples is studied. The perspective of the market in the context of the key trends of the 2022-2023 season and its reflection on the charts is also reviewed. The article examines in detail the situation in Iran, the USA, the countries of the European Union and other regions. Special attention is paid to forecasts regarding exports and consumer demand. Factors influencing the market in Ukraine, Moldova, and Central Asian countries are considered. The influence of economic conditions on the demand for apples and its value is studied, in particular, in conditions of uncertainty regarding the increase in the cost of consumer goods. The demand on the markets of developing countries and the situation on the markets of the European Union are evaluated. The article also analyzes the current state of production, consumption and price competition in the context of the growth of apple orchards. Identifies the importance of targeting higher price segments and draws attention to the difficulties that may arise from overproduction of lower quality apples. The importance of further research to expand the understanding of market trends, risks and opportunities arising in the global industry of apples and their processing is emphasized.
