As a result of the analysis, publications were found in which the role of UNESCO in the development of cultural, wine, ecological, rural and urban tourism in various countries, in particular in Greece, Poland, Turkey, China, South Korea, Cyprus, Italy and Ukraine, was investigated. The aim of the article is to analyze UNESCO's contribution to the development of tourism in Ukraine and the EU, as well as to explore the ways in which UNESCO has influenced sustainable tourism and heritage preservation in the region. UNESCO actively contributes to the preservation and popularization of the cultural heritage of Ukraine and Europe, in particular through the inclusion of cultural heritage objects in the World Heritage List. In addition, UNESCO supports the creation of cultural routes, which contributes to the development of cultural tourism and attracting new tourists to the region. The role that UNESCO plays in promoting sustainable tourism and heritage preservation in the region is examined, including the initiatives and programs that it has launched. The Sustainable Tourism Program also helps promote sustainable tourism practices and raise awareness of the importance of environmental and social responsibility in tourism. The article also examines the impact of UNESCO's work on tourism development in Ukraine and the EU, as well as the existing challenges and limitations. In addition, the paper discusses future prospects for tourism development in the region and the potential role that UNESCO can play in promoting sustainable tourism and heritage preservation in the coming years.
