ECONOMIC POTENTIAL OF PIPELINE TRANSPORT OF UKRAINE AND PROSPECTS FOR ITS GROWTH OF BASED ON MODERNIZATION OF ASSETS AND MANAGEMENT
Abstract
The article found that during 2005-2021, the volume of cargo turnover by pipeline transport decreased by more than three times, and the dynamics is reliably described by the downward branch of the parabola. It is shown that in the structure of freight turnover by types of transport, pipelines take second place after railways, however, during 2016-2020, its share and volumes of cargo transportation decreased. A significant difference in the contribution of pipeline transport to cargo turnover and the volume of cargo transportation was revealed, which is explained by their transportation over much longer distances. It is statistically shown that the dynamics of capital investments in pipeline transport is favorable and is described by a parabola with upward branches, and its activity has a clearly expressed export-oriented character. The characteristics of the subjects of activity in the field of pipeline transport – subsidiaries of Naftogaz of Ukraine JSC: JSC "Ukrtransgaz", JSC "Ukrtransnafta", LLC "GTS Operator of Ukraine", which perform the functions of transporting natural gas and oil through pipelines both within Ukraine and and from the outside; storage of natural gas and oil, etc. The property, innovation and investment potential of the specified structures and the technical condition of fixed assets were analyzed. An analysis of indicators of PSG functioning during 2010-2020 was carried out. The directions for the growth of the economic potential of pipeline transport are substantiated: the cooperation of NJSC "Naftogaz Ukraine" with international financial organizations in the framework of the implementation of investment projects of reconstruction, capital repair and technical re-equipment of main pipelines with the aim of increasing the commercial attractiveness of existing transport routes, reducing the negative impact on the environment, minimizing risks supplies of natural gas to European consumers on the territory of Ukraine; further implementation of ISO international standards; modernization of operating facilities of fixed assets based on the principles of development of green energy, green technologies, environmental protection, use of alternative energy sources; implementation of energy efficiency and energy saving measures.
