Abstract

In order to quickly restore all socio-economic processes after the end of the war, Ukraine will need both powerful tools of financial support and expert support, as well as the introduction of the latest approaches and the use of the best global practices. The development of tourism on the basis of sustainable and responsible management provided that tools are used to involve all interested parties in the management of tourist destinations, can become a catalyst for balanced local and regional development. Tourist destinations are complex ecosystems, as their development and effective functioning depend on a variety of actors, including business entities, local residents and relevant levels of government. Thus, destination management, which ensures the use of a project approach, must take into account this complex context, and any initiative for the development of the destination and the implementation of territory development projects must take into account the opinions and contributions of all stakeholders, ensuring a balanced approach and a sustainable result. The goal of the further development of tourism in Ukraine is the implementation of modern models of management of tourist destinations, implementing a project approach taking into account the involvement of interested parties, as well as with an emphasis on the sustainable development of tourist destinations. In the study of the experience of the best examples of tourism management in Sweden, the level of regulatory and institutional provision of procedures for involving and taking into account the opinions of all interested parties was analyzed within the project activities of organizations for the management of tourist destinations. In addition, it investigated how persons responsible for sustainable tourism development describe, interpret and understand the policy of "involvement and equal participation" in the management system of tourist destinations. The level of participants' awareness of the possibilities and mechanisms of influence on decision-making centres by the participants of the destination was also assessed. Thanks to a comparative study of management practices in Sweden and Ukraine, recommendations were formed for more inclusive management of tourist destinations, which leads to greater sustainability of the territory's development.
