CURRENT TRENDS OF CUSTOMS AND TARIFF REGULATION OF FOREIGN TRADE OF UKRAINE
Abstract
The ambivalence of the modern vision of the place of state regulation in ensuring the development of market relations, the growth of trade turnover, and the promotion of open competition is a key dominant feature of modernity. Therefore, the study of the effectiveness of state regulation of customs policy mechanisms that directly affect the protection of customs interests is timely and relevant. The article examines the essence and role of customs and tariff regulation in the architecture of the customs policy of the state. The tactical and strategic importance of the effective use of the range of customs and tariff instruments for the economy of Ukraine has been revealed. Monitoring of specific features of the customs and tariff policy in the countries of the European Union was carried out. An analysis of the key determinants of foreign trade in Ukraine was carried out. Positive trends of export and import of goods have been established in the 2021 reporting year in relation to the previous period. The largest importers and exporters among the countries of the world were identified, as well as the positioning of types of goods in the structure of Ukraine's export potential was investigated. The factors influencing the foreign trade policy of Ukraine at the current stage, during the period of martial law, have been established. It was emphasized that due to the blockade of the russian federation, Ukraine should diversify its export and import flows in the near future. The importance of using separate approaches during the formation of the country's customs policy within the framework of the free trade agreement is substantiated. Peculiarities of customs and tariff regulation of Mexico's foreign trade have been studied. Guidelines for improving the customs and tariff regulation of foreign trade of Ukraine in the conditions of globalization are systematized.
