TRENDS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY ENTERPRISES

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of trends and substantiation of prospects for the development of construction enterprises. The article provides a concise financial analysis of the construction companies selected for the study; separate economic indicators of such enterprises are summarized; separate indicators of the construction sector in Ukraine and the world are systematized; an analysis of the level of digitization of construction enterprises was carried out; the prospects for the development of construction enterprises are substantiated by assessing the possibilities of digitalization for Ukrainian companies. The development of digitalization in the construction industry of Ukraine is restrained by the following factors: underestimation of a number of promising technologies, resistance of management, learning from mistakes and ignoring best experience, loss of time in search of the "best" solution, too large one-time coverage of the digitalization project, lack of a motivated internal team to implement changes and monitoring systems. Summarizing the existing practice, the following recommendations can be highlighted that can help Ukrainian construction companies advance in the field of digitalization: outlining the advantages and features of the business model of a specific construction company and focusing digitization efforts on this particular area; development of effective measures to motivate employees and ensure support for digital transformation at the highest level; analysis of existing use-cases of application of digital technologies in priority areas, study of real, and not advertised by suppliers, experience of technology; determination of quantitative goals to be achieved by efforts to implement technologies, taking into account a realistic scenario; launching digitization processes exclusively on a pilot basis at first; study and thorough analysis of feedback from employees regarding the effectiveness and usability of the technology; error analysis, adjustment of goals and implementation plans. The scientific novelty of the results of this research consists in substantiating the development prospects of construction companies using digitalization processes by studying the state of application of digital technologies in the construction industry and studying general trends in the development of construction enterprises. As a direction of further research, it is appropriate to indicate the need to develop an applied model for the implementation of digitalization processes in the management system of a construction company.
