THE MODERN APPROACHES TO TEAMS' MANAGEMENT IN PROJECT IT
Abstract
The importance of using the modern approaches in the field of IT project management, taking into account the rapid development of information technologies, the importance of this sector for the country's economy and increased competition in the IT services market are noted in the paper. The determining role of human resources in the process of managing IT projects was emphasized. The authors gave the description of the general methodical approach to project management (PMBOK) as a knowledge based in the field of project management, considered five main groups of processes defined in the PMBOK (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, project completion), focused on the features of teamwork organization for effective implementation of IT projects. An overview of the classic PRINCE2 and Waterfall approaches was conducted, highlighting their structure, principles of team forming and role allocation. Special attention is paid to the analysis of flexible (Agile) methods, in particular Scrum, Kanban and Lean, which have become widely used in the IT industry due to their adaptability and orientation to quick response to changes. The authors highlighted the peculiarities of team organization according to each of these approaches, taking into account their specificities. In the paper the new trends in IT team management were analyzed, including Scrumban (hybrid of Scrum and Kanban), DevOps (integration of development and operations), SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) for scaling Agile practices at the level of large organizations, the essence of these approaches and their influence on the formation of teams was determined. The tendency to synthesize various methodologies is emphasized in order to achieve an optimal balance between structuredness and management flexibility. In the paper is paid special attention to innovative concepts of teamwork organization, in particular holocracy, which offers a model of self-management and decision-making, identifies the potential of this approach to increase the efficiency of IT teams, and indicates the conditions for its application in IT organizations. The progressive role of the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies in management projects and the organization of team management was noted, the importance of using the innovative work methods during the management of virtual and mixed teams in the context of the globalization of the IT industry was emphasized.
