PROJECT RISK MANAGEMENT IN CRISIS CONDITIONS
Abstract
A crisis situation in project risk management can be viewed as a scenario where a project faces limited or no access to key resources due to circumstances beyond its control. The existing various risks affecting project management have been supplemented by new significant challenges: rapid changes in legislation; additional regulatory requirements of regulatory authorities; sharp decrease in resources. Project risk management involves identifying, analyzing, and dealing with potential risks that could affect project success. The project risk management system in crisis conditions has a number of significant advantages: 1. Understanding of strengths and weaknesses (a clear vision of which areas need support and development, which allows for proper prioritization). 2. Strategic vision (visualization of all key aspects of the business gives a clear understanding of the business's place in the market and ways of its development). 3. Predictability and growth (a well-chosen business model provides highly predictable results and growth dynamics, which makes the business more sustainable and allows you to plan its future). The main purpose of risk identification is to identify, recognize, and describe risks that may help or hinder an organization's ability to achieve its goals. The peculiarity of project risk analysis is to obtain and study the necessary information about the structure, properties of the object and existing risks and to substantiate the conclusions drawn. The information collected should be sufficient to make informed decisions at the next stage. Once risks are identified and analyzed, they must be assessed and prioritized for management. This includes ranking the risks by their likelihood and potential impact on the project, which helps focus efforts on the most important risks. Risk prioritization is the process of identifying the most critical risks so that they can be addressed first. The decision-making process is one of the key ones in the project risk management system in crisis conditions, with a creative component. Management decision-making in crisis conditions ensures resource optimization, risk reduction and alignment with strategic goals. Thus, in a crisis, a well-developed risk management system is an important foundation for project success. By understanding the nature of the existing risk and preventing key hazards, projects can be effectively implemented proactively, and project assets are protected.
