PROBLEMS AND PERSPECTIVES OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF SMALL BUSINESS ENTITIES IN THE SPHERE OF SERVICES

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of practical aspects of the development of small entrepreneurship in the service sector. On the basis of a study of the current state of development of small hotels in Ukraine, problems and prospects for the development of tourism business enterprises were identified. This description of the essence and features of the functioning of small business hotel enterprises, the specifics of conducting business activities of small hotels in Ukraine are determined. So, to date, there are no clearly defined international or national norms that classify means of accommodation according to their volume. The WTO recommends that the definition of "small hotel" should be understood as an accommodation facility with a number of at least thirty rooms, although the term "small hotel" is understood in its own way in each country and depends on its socio-economic and historical development. An analytical study of the state and development trends of the hotel services market emphasized the role of small businesses in the service sector of Ukraine. In the course of the research, it was proved that our country is attractive for tourists, able to offer a wide range of tourist leisure: mountain vacations, seaside, rehabilitation and treatment sanatoriums, thermal springs, trips to UNESCO sites, archaeological and religious history, etc. The characteristic features that ensure the high attractiveness of small hotel business entities have been revealed. The main factors hindering the development of small tourism entrepreneurship have been determined. Proposed main areas of implementation of state policy on solving problems of small business development in the service sector. Thus, the further overcoming of today's crisis conditions requires active support from the state and the development of effective development strategies taking into account modern trends and world standards. The systematic implementation of practical measures should provide a stable regulatory and legal basis for the effective development of the entrepreneurial activity of hotel business. The rate of growth of small entrepreneurship in Ukraine indicates its sufficient internal potential.
