IDENTIFICATION, ASSESSMENT AND MINIMIZATION OF RISKS AT ALL STAGES OF THE LOGISTICS PROCESS

Keywords: logistics process, risk, logistics systems, risk management, uncertainty, supply chains, digitalization, sustainable development

Abstract

The article examines risk management in logistics processes under uncertainty, volatility and digital transformation of business activity. The relevance of the study is determined by the growing complexity of supply chains, disruptions in procurement and delivery, market volatility, infrastructure constraints, technological failures, cyber threats and the need to ensure continuity. The aim is to generalize approaches to identifying, assessing and minimizing logistics risks and to substantiate an integrated risk-oriented management model. The methodological basis includes system analysis, process approach, expert assessment, forecasting, resilience assessment and digital monitoring. The main sources of risks at the stages of procurement, transportation, warehousing, inventory management, production support and distribution are identified. It is shown that logistics risks arise not only from external shocks, but also from weak coordination of participants, low data quality, fragmented information systems, weak control and delayed managerial response. The role of digital technologies, analytical tools and information systems in increasing transparency, accelerating decision-making, strengthening monitoring and reducing uncertainty is substantiated. The originality of the study lies in combining risk diagnostics, preventive measures, resilience indicators and digital monitoring within a single management logic. It is proved that an effective logistics risk management system should include regular identification of threats, assessment of probability and impact, development of response scenarios, formation of reserves, monitoring of key indicators and evaluation of corrective actions. The practical value is that the proposed approach can be used by enterprises to improve reliability, adaptability, flexibility and competitiveness of logistics systems. It is concluded that integrated logistics risk management helps optimize resources, maintain supply chain continuity, reduce losses and strengthen market positions under dynamic environmental changes.
