COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES OF ENTERPRISES WITHIN GLOBAL VALUE CHAINS

Abstract

The article examines the peculiarities of forming competitive advantages of enterprises within global value chains under the conditions of digital economic transformation and the deepening of the international division of labor. It is substantiated that the participation of enterprises in global value chains acts as an important factor in increasing their competitiveness, since it provides access to international markets, modern technologies, innovative resources, specialized competencies, and global production networks. The significance of comprehensive value chain diagnostics as a tool for improving resource management efficiency, optimizing business processes, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality is determined. The study reveals the peculiarities of forming competitive advantages of enterprises within global value chains through cost leadership, differentiation, global integration, and local adaptation. It has been established that international specialization and optimization of resource provision contribute to cost reduction and improvement of the economic efficiency of enterprises. The role of improving global value chains in shaping enterprise competitive advantages is substantiated. It is determined that business process reengineering contributes to organizational structure optimization and improvement of management efficiency, diversification of logistics channels ensures enterprise resilience to external risks, while logistics innovations and business process digitalization create conditions for the development of adaptive and high technology management models. The influence of strategic partnerships, international production networks, and enterprise clusters on the formation of interconnected competitive advantages has been investigated. It has been established that the integration of enterprises into global production and partnership systems contributes to increasing innovativeness, improving resource efficiency, and strengthening enterprise sustainability within the global economic environment.
