STRATEGIC GUIDELINES FOR TRANSFORMING THE MECHANISM OF MANAGING THE INVESTMENT POTENTIAL OF NON-BANK FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS
Abstract
The article substantiates strategic guidelines for transforming the mechanism of managing the investment potential of non-bank financial institutions in Ukraine. It is proved that war-related risks, regulatory renewal, uneven development of market segments and the limited share of non-bank financial institutions in financial sector assets require a revision of traditional approaches to investment potential management. The empirical basis consists of official materials of the National Bank of Ukraine, including the Non-Bank Financial Sector Review of March 2026, the Financial Stability Report of December 2025, the Strategy for the Development of the Financial Sector of Ukraine, and scientific works on investment potential, financial stability, regulation and investment activity of non-bank financial institutions. The methodological basis includes analysis and synthesis, structural-functional, systemic, comparative, segmental, indicator-based and strategic approaches. The article defines the mechanism of investment potential management as an integrated system of goals, resources, instruments, risks, regulatory requirements, information support and control. It is substantiated that its transformation should rely on risk-oriented management, investment budgeting, capitalization, compliance, digital analytics and differentiation of priorities by segments. The authorial vision of a transformed mechanism is proposed, integrating strategic, resource, investment, risk, regulatory and analytical-digital dimensions. The scientific novelty lies in systematizing strategic guidelines for transforming investment potential management in non-bank financial institutions, taking into account segmental heterogeneity, regulatory discipline, investment budgeting, early risk warning and digitalization of analytics. The practical significance lies in using the results for developing investment strategies, performance indicators, investment budgets, risk-oriented control procedures and measures aimed at increasing competitiveness and resilience of non-bank financial institutions.
