ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY OF BUSINESS ENTITIES AS A DETERMINANT OF NATIONAL ECONOMY RESILIENCE: SYNERGIC APPROACH

Keywords: economic sustainability, resilience, business entities, national economy, adaptability, synergistic approach, innovation

Abstract

The article explores the theoretical and applied foundations of economic resilience of business entities and its impact on the formation of national economic resilience under conditions of increasing uncertainty and crisis challenges. The study substantiates the multi-level nature of economic resilience, covering micro-, meso-, and macroeconomic levels, and emphasizes the key role of enterprises as fundamental elements of the economic system. It is argued that the stability of individual business entities forms the basis for ensuring macroeconomic resilience through cumulative and synergistic effects. Particular attention is paid to the mechanism of transformation of micro-level resilience into macroeconomic stability. This mechanism is revealed through several interconnected channels, including financial-economic, market-institutional, and innovation-transformation channels. The financial-economic channel reflects the ability of enterprises to maintain stable financial performance and generate tax revenues, which support macroeconomic stability. The market-institutional channel ensures labor market stability and social balance, while the innovation-transformation channel contributes to structural modernization and long-term competitiveness of the economy. The study proposes a conceptual model of the formation of national economic resilience based on the interaction between business entities, sectoral structures, and institutional environment. This model highlights the importance of synergy, network interactions, and state support mechanisms in strengthening resilience. Additionally, a system of indicators for assessing economic resilience at different levels is developed, which provides a methodological basis for comprehensive analysis and evaluation. The findings confirm that economic resilience is not a static characteristic but a dynamic process that involves adaptation, transformation, and recovery. It is demonstrated that the adaptive capacity and innovative activity of enterprises are crucial factors in ensuring the resilience of the national economy, particularly in the context of external shocks such as economic crises and military conflicts. The results of the study can be used for improving economic policy and strategic management practices aimed at enhancing resilience at both micro- and macroeconomic levels.
