FINANCIAL SUPPORT OF BUSINESS ENTITIES AND RELATED CONCEPTS
Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the content of the economic category “Financial support of business entities” in the context of related concepts. The article highlights the relevance of studying the problems that arise in the process of organizing financing for business entities in modern conditions in Ukraine. It is noted that before developing mechanisms for such financing, it is necessary to determine the meaning of key concepts and establish a logical connection between them. Based on the analysis of scientific works of Ukrainian researchers, an analysis of the definitions of financial support as an economic category was conducted and the approaches highlighted in the scientific literature for their classification were considered. According to the results of the analysis, an own definition of financial support of business entities was formulated. Financial support of business entities activities is defined in the paper as the complex of measures which is projecting to achieve such goals as: a) attracting financial resources from various sources, taking into account its cost; b) distributing these resources based on a preliminary determination of the current and prospective needs of business entities; c) financing the operational, investment and financial activities of business entities, taking into account the need to accomplish their tactical tasks and achieve strategic purposes. That approach to financial support definition allows us to distinguish it from related concepts. In the process of analyzing the terms “financial support” and “financing”, a significant difference between them was established and it was proposed to separate it, because the latter is the final stage of former. In addition, the meaning of the concept of finance is analyzed in the paper, because the term meaning is most comprehensive compared to other related concepts. Thus, according to the results of the paper, a logical connection was established between the financial support of business entities and related terms. Taking into account the results of this paper will allow avoiding contradictions in the process of the concepts interpretation.
