STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS FOR MANAGEMENT OF MUSEUM DESTINATIONS IN THE USA AS A FACTOR OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM

Abstract

The article examines the development of museum tourism in the United States, through the new management of museums, as an initiative for economic development. Strategic priorities in the popularization of the US territory, as a cluster of educational tourism, are not often typical in the field of museum tourism. The main method of investigation is the analysis of the influx of tourist revenue from museums to the attraction of the US territory, through the prism of educational tourism. In this case, this problem is presented in the current way, and in itself, the role of museums in the US cultural tourism system is determined, the assessment of tourist and educational arrivals to museums is assessed, and the characteristics of the development of museum objects are characterized. A similar problem, and the strategic role of the economical place of the museum in the structure of the tourist industry, is highlighted in the works of both domestic and foreign scientists. The statistics of the largest museum complexes in the United States have been analyzed to show the scale of museum tourism in the country. It has been established that museums are among the largest centers of economic growth in US cultural tourism, which goes far beyond the traditional analysis of economic growth strategy. The dynamically growing trend in tourism and museums, which is based on the historical and cultural decline formed in the rest, is a major factor in the sociocultural and tourist development of the United States. Statistics on the growth in the number of museums are presented to show the correlation between the success of art, culture and economic, cultural, and strategic tourist achievements. This is a form of transformation, which is one of the methods that allows museums to adapt to the current situation - by promoting a strategy for changing the tourist experience in the midst of cultural knowledge. Analyzing the development of US museums, it can be said that they have become more competitive for a respectable and family audience and are technologically advanced, including thematic attractions and modern design. To effectively manage and increase the number of distributors, museums can segment target audiences and introduce new marketing approaches.
