DIGITAL SOLUTIONS IN THE INDUSTRIAL SYMBIOSIS MODEL: ORGANIZATIONAL AND ECONOMIC ASPECTS

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the use of digital solutions in the industrial symbiosis model, which is an important component of the management of eco-industrial park participants. The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that eco-industrial parks have been recognized by the Government of Ukraine as an important element of the sustainable post-war recovery of the Ukrainian economy, and digitalization and decarbonization are priority areas of industrial development. The purpose of the article is to develop recommendations for taking into account organizational and economic aspects when transitioning to the use of digital solutions in the industrial symbiosis model. To achieve the goal, the following research methods were used: analysis and synthesis, systematic approach, comparison, grouping, logical generalization. The domestic and foreign experience of transitioning to digital solutions (automation of business processes, creation of digital platforms, implementation of smart technologies based on the Internet of Things, processing of big data, use of elements of artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies) in circular business models and eco-industrial parks is analyzed. The need to take into account the organizational features and economic capabilities of participants in industrial symbiosis when implementing digital solutions is substantiated. The use of a differentiated approach to the use of digital solutions in new and existing models of industrial symbiosis is proposed. Attention is paid to the transformation of the circular business model when using digital solutions by participants in industrial symbiosis, which exchange energy based on smart grid technology in conditions of "green" production (hydrogen, metal, etc.). The need to take into account the role of the territorial community and the degree of development of digital infrastructure when forming a strategy and tactics for the transition to the use of digital solutions in the industrial symbiosis model has been identified. The developed proposals are useful for specialists involved in the implementation of individual digital solutions in new and existing models of industrial symbiosis. The issue of financing the comprehensive implementation of digital solutions in the industrial symbiosis model requires further research.
