FEATURES OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN THE MANAGEMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN UKRAINE
Abstract
The purpose of the article is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the peculiarities of digital transformation of higher education institution management in the context of accelerated technological development, growing global competition and intensifying socio-economic challenges, as well as to identify key technologies, barriers and success factors for the implementation of digital solutions in the university management system. The study uses methods of systemic and structural-functional analysis, generalisation and comparison, bibliographic and content analysis of scientific publications and strategic documents of the EU and Ukraine. Logical analysis is used to identify the interrelationships between the technological, organisational and managerial components of the digital transformation of HEIs. The article argues that the digital transformation of HEI management is a multidimensional process that goes beyond informatisation and involves profound organisational, managerial and cultural changes. Key digital technologies that form the basis of management transformation are identified, in particular cloud computing, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, ERP systems and electronic document management. The main barriers to the digitalisation of higher education institution management have been identified, including a shortage of resources, low levels of digital competence, fragmented information systems, resistance to change and growing cyber risks. A comparison of the current state of digital transformation in Ukrainian universities with European benchmarks was carried out, which made it possible to identify existing gaps and prospects for overcoming them. It has been proven that successful digital transformation of higher education institution management requires a strategic approach, integration of digital initiatives with institutional goals, development of digital leadership, and formation of a unified digital ecosystem. The implementation of the proposed approaches will contribute to improving the efficiency of management, the competitiveness of universities and their integration into the European educational space in the context of post-war recovery and innovative development.
