MARKET REVIEW AND RESEARCH ON THE AUTOMATION OF PRODUCTION PROCESSES IN THE CONFECTIONERY INDUSTRY
Abstract
The article examines the development of the food and confectionery industry in Ukraine in 2021–2024, taking into account changes in the production volumes and exports of the main commodity groups in the confectionery industry. Based on statistical data, it shows how the industry responded to economic difficulties and external challenges, as well as how companies adapted to new market conditions. It was found that despite noticeable fluctuations, the production of food and confectionery products gradually increased, and exports of certain product groups showed positive dynamics. Supplies of cocoa products and flour confectionery products grew particularly rapidly, indicating an increase in demand for Ukrainian products abroad and the strengthening of the position of domestic producers in international markets. The paper also analyzes the changes in technological processes that accompanied the development of the industry. The growth of production volumes and the complexity of market conditions have led to the need to implement modern digital and automated solutions. It is shown that automation makes it possible to increase productivity, reduce costs, reduce the number of errors and ensure stable product quality even in unstable external environments. The use of digital approaches also helps enterprises respond faster to demand, control the safety of goods and maintain compliance with international standards. The results of the study show that the development of the confectionery market and technological modernization are interrelated. Increasing the level of automation is becoming an important condition for maintaining the competitiveness of Ukrainian manufacturers, especially in the context of growing competition and the need to improve efficiency. Thus, digital transformation is a key driver of the development of the confectionery and food industry, providing opportunities for further expansion of production and strengthening positions in foreign markets.
