THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF ASSESSING THE EFFICIENCY OF USE OF RESOURCES OF AN ECONOMIC ENTITY
Abstract
The relevance and necessity of research into increasing the efficiency of the use of enterprise resources are due to the need to achieve competitive advantages and increase profitability. The purpose of the study is to deepen theoretical provisions and develop methodological recommendations for assessing the efficiency of the use of resources of a business entity in order to ensure its sustainable development and increase competitiveness. The object of the study is the process of forming and using the economic resources of a business entity in the context of assessing its activities. The subject of the study is theoretical, methodological and organizational approaches to assessing the efficiency of the use of enterprise resources. The article concludes that there is currently no single view in the scientific literature on the understanding of the concept of "resources". The essence of the concept of "enterprise resources" is considered and the author's definition is given. It is proved that the concepts of "result", "effect", "effectiveness", "efficiency", "productivity" have polymorphism of definition. The definition of "efficiency of use of enterprise resources" is studied based on the clarification of the essence of the concepts of "efficiency", "effectiveness", "effect", "result", "productivity", "resource efficiency". It is found that the concept of "effectiveness" is broader in comparison with the concept of "efficiency". According to the results of studying the approaches to interpreting the essence of the category of "efficiency", the result, optimization, cost, target, dynamic approaches are described, as well as approaches from the position of alternative cost, productivity of production factors, emphasis on needs. The key features and factors of increasing the efficiency of use of enterprise resources are characterized. The indicators of the efficiency of use of enterprise resources are classified into 3 groups: general indicators of the efficiency of use of basic production resources, general indicators of the efficiency of use of circulating resources, general indicators of the efficiency of use of financial resources.
