Abstract

This article addresses the improvement of innovation potential management as a critically important element of an enterprise's economic security. Effective innovation management requires systemic risk monitoring, the creation of a favorable environment, and the implementation of strategically sound innovative plans. Innovations are a key component of economic security, enabling businesses to adapt to changing market conditions and effectively mitigate risks. The study argues for a holistic approach that integrates both innovative and established management practices. Key characteristics of an innovation-oriented enterprise are identified, including strategic planning focused on long-term goals, a comprehensive innovation strategy, and a flexible, decentralized organizational structure. The role of an innovation culture - a set of values and beliefs that encourage creativity, openness to new ideas, and a willingness to take calculated risks - is highlighted as crucial for realizing the potential. Among the prospective directions for implementation, the article focuses on adopting Agile methodologies and Design Thinking for managing innovation projects. These methods minimize failure risks, enhance flexibility, and allow for rapid adaptation to market feedback, thereby strengthening economic security. Furthermore, the research underscores the necessity of continuous personnel training as an investment in intellectual capital and a means to democratize the innovation process across the entire organization. Strategic training fosters a culture of continuous learning and significantly reduces both operational and strategic risks. Finally, the study examines the importance of the Open Innovation model, which involves active collaboration with external entities, and the role of the Internet of Things and Digital Twins in accelerating development and improving operational efficiency through real-time data and simulation. These combined approaches transform latent human potential into tangible innovative outcomes, securing the enterprise's sustained competitive advantage.
