GLOBAL TRANSFORMATIONS OF FINANCIAL FLOWS IN THE CONDITIONS OF MILITARIZATION OF NATIONAL ECONOMIES IN THE CONTEXT OF RESOURCE REDISTRIBUTION AND ECONOMIC RISKS

Abstract

The article analyzes large-scale transformations in the structure of global financial flows in relation to the intensification of the processes of militarization of national economies in the 2020s. Based on empirical data from the Stockholm International Research Institute (SIPRI), the systemic dynamics of the increase in defense spending in most world powers has been revealed. It has been established that the current phase of militarization began after 2014 and intensified in 2022–2024 due to the large-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, which prompted a radical use of budgetary funds. priorities for the security and defense sector. It has been reported that spending on defense has hit record highs in the United States (997 billion US dollars), China (314 billion), and the Russian Federation (149 billion), with Ukraine ranking 8th in the world in terms of military spending and, first, in GDP (34%). The geographical vectors of militarization have been characterized: the growth of video surveillance has been recorded in Europe, Asia, and the Close Convergence. It has been established that militarization is accompanied by the formation of fiscal imbalances, budget deficits, inflationary pressure and foreign investment in the real sector. At the same time, it is emphasized that for sympathetic minds, militarization can act as a tool for activating innovative activity, accelerating technological development, and converting the military-industrial complex. The emphasis is placed on Ukraine's fallout from power, since the defense financing model is based on a complete redistribution of financial resources for military consumption and foreign aid to cover civilian sectors. It has been established that the current stage of militarization is characterized by a subordinate nature: on the one hand, it provides the necessary security for national security, and on the other hand, it gives rise to systemic economic riziki. In the minds of the trivial war, the formation of stable mechanisms for balancing between strategic defense needs and the demands of the current development is critically important. Prospects for further research lie in the development of models of adaptive fiscal policy, assessment of the influx of military spending on human capital, the institutional capacity of the state, as well as in the analysis of scenarios after the economic reconstruction with the improvement of macro-financial stability and investment income.
