CURRENT STATE OF FUNCTIONING AND DEVELOPMENT OF INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISES IN UKRAINE
Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the functioning and development of industrial enterprises in Ukraine. Changes in the state of development of the country's industrial complex were identified, which made it possible to identify the strengths and weaknesses of industrial enterprises. The decline in the efficiency of industrial enterprises in Ukraine was justified, taking into account the unfavorable security situation in the country. The main problems faced by industrial enterprises in Ukraine in recent years have been identified. It has been established that enterprises in the industrial sector have suffered losses in their activities, which can be explained by the economic crisis and the temporary occupation of parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, where some of the country's largest industrial enterprises are located and which have suffered destruction and losses during this period. It has been proven that the low innovation and investment capacity of the industry and enterprises reduces the country's industrial potential in the international arena. The unfavorable investment climate, which is shaped by state regulation and guarantees for investors, reduces the investment attractiveness of domestic enterprises. It is noted that the rapid adaptation of enterprises to new conditions is a guarantee of their success and development in conditions of volatility and uncertainty in the external environment. Adaptive capacity determines how quickly an enterprise can adjust its production processes to new conditions and needs. It has been determined that an important step for domestic enterprises is integration into international technical assistance programmes based on grants, credit programmes, and the involvement of international financial institutions, which allows for resource support for production. Based on the analysis, it is proposed to form strategic directions for the development of industrial enterprises in two periods: military and post-war recovery. It has been established that during the period of active hostilities, the main development tasks for enterprises should be aimed at creating conditions for the autonomy and independence of production processes. Strategic directions in the period of post-war recovery should be aimed at rebuilding enterprises on the basis of innovation, taking into account European quality standards.
