DIGITAL PARADIGM IN LOGISTICS: IMPACT ON MANAGEMENT APPROACHES
Abstract
The article examines the impact of the digital paradigm on management approaches in logistics, emphasizing that the digitalization of logistics processes is a crucial factor in optimizing business operations, improving supply chain management efficiency, and enhancing the competitive advantages of enterprises in the modern business environment. The relevance of the study is driven by the need to adapt management approaches to digital technologies, which are transforming traditional business models in logistics. The aim of the study is to analyze the impact of digitalization on key management approaches in logistics and to identify their advantages and disadvantages in the context of digital transformation. The research employs methods of comparative analysis, systematization, and generalization. The analysis of scientific publications and the practical experience of logistics companies enabled the study of functional, process, system, and integration approaches to logistics management. The results of the study indicate that the functional approach enhances the efficiency of individual logistics functions but limits integration between departments. The process approach facilitates automation and flexibility but requires significant financial resources for implementation. The system approach focuses on comprehensive logistics management through modern digital technologies, while the integration approach creates a unified information environment to coordinate all participants in the supply chain. The main challenges of digitalization remain the high cost of technology implementation, the complexity of coordinating the integration process among participants, and cybersecurity risks associated with data transmission. The practical value of the study lies in the potential application of its findings by enterprises and logistics operators to select the optimal management approach, thereby enhancing the efficiency of logistics processes in a digital environment.
