PECULIARITIES OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT OF EDUCATIONAL SERVICES OF THE HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION

Abstract

The article provides definitions of the concepts of "educational service" and "quality management". The main tasks of education in modern conditions are continuity, quality, demand and accessibility. It has been established that the concept of "quality of education" is much broader than "quality of educational service" and includes all aspects of the formation, implementation and, if necessary, adjustment of the education system in accordance with national and international quality standards. The views of scientists on the definition of the concept of "quality of educational services" are considered. The generalization of research shows that the quality of educational services is a multi-component category that covers not only the academic quality of teaching, but also the organizational, communication, service, informational and emotional components of the interaction of a higher education institution with applicants. Quality management processes in higher education institutions are characterized by a number of features and challenges associated with the autonomy of institutions, changes in legislation, digital transformation and the need to synchronize internal and external control mechanisms. It has been established that the main characteristic features of quality management of educational services of a higher education institution are their compliance with internal and external requirements. This approach contributes to the coherence of the activities of a higher education institution and to its efficiency. It has been proven that ensuring the quality of educational services of a higher education institution should include: development and updating of educational programs, organization of the educational process, support of applicants of higher education and assessment of knowledge. Based on the analysis of information sources, it has been established that the process of quality management of educational services of a higher education institution itself should include six stages. This approach contributes to increasing the transparency of management decisions, timely identification of problems, the formation of a result-oriented quality assurance system, and also allows adapting educational activities to the requirements of education students, employers and standards of the external environment. As a result, the competitiveness of a higher education institution and the level of trust in its educational services increase.
