DIGITAL TOOLS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATION IN CONSTRUCTION
Abstract
The article examines the role of digital tools as a factor in enhancing innovation in the construction sector of Ukraine. It is shown that digitalisation is a crucial direction of construction transformation in the direction of increasing its efficiency, innovation and compliance with the modern requirements of the digital economy. It is emphasised that the implementation of digital solutions in construction in Ukraine is uneven, and the process itself faces a number of systemic barriers that hinder innovation activity. These include the high capital intensity of construction work, long project implementation times, limited financial potential of enterprises, declining effective demand, and an outdated regulatory framework. The study conducted a review of scientific publications to identify current approaches to the digitalisation of the construction industry, as well as to identify insufficiently developed aspects, in particular at the level of small and medium-sized construction enterprises. The article identifies and systematises key digital tools that can contribute to the intensification of innovation in construction, including building information modelling (BIM), digital twins, IoT, ERP systems, Blockchain, digital estimates, GIS, AR/VR, CRM solutions, Big Data, artificial intelligence, etc. Each tool is described and the expected results of its implementation are given. The article proposes a structured system of indicators of the effectiveness of digital solutions aimed at overcoming the relevant problems of innovative development. The indicators cover both quantitative and qualitative parameters: cost savings, reduced implementation time, increased profitability, increased investment attractiveness, reduced administrative burden, increased management transparency, the number of implemented digital tools, increased number of projects with digital documentation, etc. Such a system allows for a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of digitalisation in the dynamics and provides an analytical basis for making practical decisions in the field of digital transformation of the construction industry.
