MECHANISMS TO MINIMIZE THREATS TO UKRAINE'S ECONOMIC SECURITY IN THE CONTEXT OF GLOBAL CHALLENGES
Abstract
The article analyzes mechanisms for minimizing threats to Ukraine’s economic security in the context of global transformations. The study examines major global challenges impacting economic security, including military conflicts, energy crises, financial instability, and digital threats. Recent scientific research in this field is reviewed to identify key directions for counteracting these threats. Particular attention is paid to unresolved aspects of the problem, such as the necessity of implementing proactive risk management strategies and digital transformation for strengthening economic resilience. A detailed analysis is conducted on the existing mechanisms for economic security enhancement, highlighting their strengths and weaknesses. The research underscores the importance of developing adaptive strategies to respond to both short-term and long-term risks. Among the proposed solutions are the enhancement of monitoring and predictive analytics tools, structural economic reforms, and increased cooperation with international partners to ensure economic stability. Furthermore, the study examines the role of financial policies, investment climate improvements, and innovation-driven approaches in fostering a more robust economic security system. The research also delves into the implications of digitalization on economic security, emphasizing both the opportunities and risks associated with technological advancements. Digital tools can serve as effective instruments in risk mitigation, early threat detection, and efficient resource allocation. However, cybersecurity risks and the increasing dependency on digital infrastructure necessitate comprehensive regulatory frameworks and security protocols. The proposed measures include strengthening institutional frameworks, diversifying economic sectors, and improving crisis response mechanisms to enhance Ukraine’s resilience to external shocks. By adopting a multifaceted approach, the study provides a scientific basis for policy recommendations aimed at securing Ukraine’s economic stability amid global uncertainties. The findings contribute to the broader discourse on economic security, offering insights applicable to other economies facing similar challenges.
