SOCIO-ECONOMIC SIGNIFICANCE OF VEGETABLE PRODUCTION, STATUS AND MAIN TRENDS OF VEGETABLE PRODUCTION IN UKRAINE AND THE WORLD
Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the socio-economic significance of vegetable production and the state of the vegetable market in Ukraine and the world. The article examines the social and economic importance of vegetables as important components of a healthy diet and ensuring food security. The analysis of the development of the industry showed that the constant growth of the volume of vegetable production contributes to the sustainable supply of the market, and the diversification of crops allows to meet the growing needs of consumers. Research methods: analysis of literary sources, system analysis, deduction, induction, etc. The main trends in the development of vegetable production were studied, in particular, the development of organic production and the introduction of new technologies in the cultivation of vegetables. Further development of the industry requires attention to environmental aspects and implementation of effective methods of quality control and product safety. In connection with the growth of competition on the world market and the change in climatic conditions, the mentioned prospects for further research include the study of market trends, the development of innovative technologies and the expansion of the range of cultivated crops. The importance of researching the socio-economic significance of vegetable production and identifying new opportunities will contribute to the sustainable development of the industry and the provision of high-quality and safe vegetable products for consumers in Ukraine and the world. The study of the socio-economic significance of vegetable production and the state of the vegetable market is relevant and important in the modern conditions of globalization and changes in agriculture. The information obtained indicates the need to direct efforts to the development of innovative technologies and increase the quality of products to meet consumer demands and high safety standards. Further research is aimed at introducing innovative approaches to growing vegetables, taking into account environmental aspects, as well as creating new opportunities to increase Ukraine's export potential on the world market.
