POTENTIAL OF HIGH-TECH STARTUPS: DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN CONTEXT
Abstract
This article summarizes the experience of forming the potential of high-tech startups in Ukraine and the countries of its international environment. The main goal of the research is to identify the characteristic features and conceptual foundations of the potential of high-tech startups in individual countries. Despite the significant scientific achievements and significant contribution of scientists to solving the outlined problems, it is worth noting the empirical-methodological and selective nature of these studies, since the authors mainly focus on only certain aspects of regulating the activities of startups. Therefore, a number of problems in the formation and development of the potential of high-tech startups require further comprehensive research and deepening. The relevance of solving this scientific problem lies in the fact that the creation of high-tech startups and their development ensures the growth of the competitive ability of the economy of any country. The study of the features of the potential of high-tech startups in the article is carried out in the following logical sequence: determining the sequence of delivering the potential of high-tech startups, for making an investment decision, analyzing the general features of the potential of high-tech startups in Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Moldova, Slovakia and Ukraine. Investing in high-tech startups opens up a large number of opportunities for the development of national business. Assessing the potential of a technological startup is a key element before making an investment decision. The advantages of investing in high-tech startups are high profit potential in case of success and the opportunity to be part of innovative projects. Popular models of financing startups include venture capital and angel investments. The methodological tools of the conducted research were historical and logical methods, graphical method, methods of analysis and synthesis. The object of the study was chosen to be the features of the potential of high-tech startups in Ukraine and the countries of its international environment. The results of the study may be useful for forming a model of the potential of high-tech startups.
