THE ROLE OF THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY IN THE FORM OF TOP BUSINESS MODELS OF INTERNATIONAL COMPANIES
Abstract
The article considers the prospects for implementing the concept of circular economy as an effective tool for integrating the principles of sustainable development into the international economic activities of enterprises. The main advantages of the transition from the traditional linear model of management to a closed cycle model based on the reuse of resources, waste minimization, environmentally friendly production, and innovative business models were identified. The main scientific approaches to the implementation of circular business models in the context of sustainable development were investigated. The article considers the studies of foreign and domestic scholars who analyze the economic, environmental and social aspects of the circular economy, as well as its impact on the international competitiveness of enterprises. The main factors that determine the need to adapt business models to the principles of sustainable development were identified, in particular: the tightening of regulatory requirements of host countries, the transformation of consumer demands, and the need to strengthen the market position of enterprises in the global environment. The author analyzes the impact of the UN Global Sustainable Development Goals on the implementation of circular business models and identifies the key strategic directions for the development of the circular economy. The article examines the mechanisms and tools that facilitate the integration of circular principles into international economic activity, in particular through optimization of production processes, efficient use of resources, and implementation of modern technological solutions. Based on the analysis of scientific approaches and practical examples, the author suggests an algorithm for integrating the principles of the circular economy into the business models of international companies. It was determined that such an approach not only contributes to compliance with modern environmental standards, but also ensures the sustainable development of enterprises in the long term, increases their efficiency and competitiveness in the global market.
