MANAGEMENT CONCEPTS AND MODELS OF THE ENTERPRISE SUPPLY CHAIN

Abstract

The article substantiates the need to systematize and analyze the theoretical models and approaches used to understand and improve the structure of supply chains at an enterprise. The purpose of the article is to summarize the theoretical foundations and conceptual approaches to supply chain management, and also to systematize the main models of supply chain structuring of modern enterprises. The article discusses the concepts of supply chain management based on the principles of the theory of constraints, integrated supply chain, lean manufacturing, flexible management, supplier relationship management and strategies of categorical management of supply chain. Different concepts of supply chain management are identified, their content and ultimate goal are compared. It is noted that the basic principle of supply chain management based on the Theory of Constraints is to identify and eliminate its weakest links. The Supply Chain Integration approach is based on the principle of integrating and synchronizing the actions of all supply chain participants. The Lean Manufacturing approach focuses on minimizing costs and eliminating losses in all parts of the supply chain. Supply chain management based on the Agile Supply Chain principle focuses on the flexibility and adaptability of the supply chain to external changes. The author identifies strategic approaches to supply chain management based on Supplier Relationship Management and Category Management Strategy, which involve managing strategic relationships with suppliers and supply management by product category and business unit. The main characteristics of traditional, integrated, digital, flexible, decentralized and closed supply chain models are systematized. The advantages, limitations, selection criteria and areas of application of various models of the enterprise supply chain are determined. It is concluded that the key principle of choice is the industry specificity of the enterprise's technological processes, the uniqueness of production, the capabilities and reserves of flexibility and adaptability of the business model, the scale of business, the market and the external environment.
