LOGICAL ANALYSIS OF STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT IN AN ORGANIZATION
Abstract
The article is devoted to the process of logical analysis of strategic management within an organization. The key structural units of logical analysis, which reflect the sequence in generating new knowledge and generalizations based on collected facts, are examined. It has been established that logical expertise at the conclusion stage should demonstrate how well-justified and reliable the conclusions are, based on accumulated facts, empirical generalizations, and the validity of approaches to logical inference that contribute to the acquisition of new knowledge. It has been proven that there is no universal formula in the logical analysis of strategic management. However, successful management strategies consistently involve four main rules: a realistic assessment of resources; balanced, thorough, and objective understanding of the competitive environment; clear, consistent, and long-term goals; and effective strategy implementation. Logical analysis not only simplifies decision-making but also improves its quality. Firstly, it integrates the knowledge of experts and analysis into a cohesive whole. Secondly, it facilitates the application of analytical tools. The tools and schemes of logical analysis of the industry, resources, and performance assessment ensure better strategies, leading to better management decisions and higher efficiency. It has been established that strategy plays a fundamental role in ensuring consistency in management decisions made by top managers or the organization as a whole. Therefore, strategy is a leading component of success. Thus, adhering to a set of logical rules is a necessary condition for the logical analysis of strategy: the thesis must be logically defined, clear, and precise; the thesis must remain identical to itself throughout the proof process; the arguments must be true and substantiated; the arguments must not contradict each other; and the arguments must be sufficient for the corresponding thesis. It has been proven that the idea of logical analysis in strategic management lies in systematically analyzing the reasons for business success and failure (or the outcomes of relevant management decisions). Subsequently, the results can be used to formulate business strategies. It is advisable to improve the processes and tools for strategy formulation, as well as strategic planning as a whole.
